West Monroe Names Tom Bolger Managing Director, Strategic Growth & Seattle Office Lead

Chicago, IL – September 5, 2012 – West Monroe Partners, a North American business and technology consultancy, announced today that it has appointed Tom Bolger to the new role of Managing Director, Strategic Growth & Seattle office lead. As part of his strategic growth role, Tom will work with the firm’s senior leadership team to develop and advance strategic growth initiatives, including, but not limited to plans for geographic expansion and assessing potential mergers and acquisitions.

Bolger founded the firm’s Seattle office in 2005 and has overseen its growth to more than 40 employees and 20 active clients across the Pacific Northwest. Since its inception, the Seattle office has received accolades from the Puget Sound Business Journal, Seattle Business Monthly, and Seattle Business Magazine as one of the area’s best workplaces. In addition to his new responsibilities, Bolger will continue to lead the Seattle and other West Coast practices.

“Given our significant development as a firm over the last 10 years and our future growth plans, we recognized the importance of formalizing responsibilities for strategic growth,” said West Monroe Partners’ Chairman & CEO, Dean Fischer. “In addition to founding and leading an office, Tom has played a key role in our annual strategic planning process and, over time, distinguished himself as one of our firm’s most strategic thinkers. We—and our clients—will benefit tremendously from his focus on this area.”

In addition to his practice leadership responsibilities, Bolger has directed many transformation projects for West Monroe clients, including mergers and acquisitions, digital channel expansion, enhanced payment processes, and the alignment of technology with strategic objectives. His consulting experience spans multiple industries, including banking, insurance, capital markets, and professional services.

Before joining West Monroe Partners in 2005, Bolger held several key positions with Washington Mutual including business unit manager for the company’s debit card business, at the time, the third-largest debit card issuer in the United States, and vice president for online banking. Previously, he spent several years as a consultant with Saltmine, a Seattle-based internet consulting firm, and with Arthur Andersen in Chicago. He earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Computer Applications and Psychology from the University of Notre Dame.
