Tanya Sukhu

The healthcare industry continues to transform, and Tanya is right in the middle – guiding positive change every day. Her work involves some of the most complex and high-risk projects that health plan organizations undertake. She helped a large national healthcare payer consolidate and modernize five large commercial administrative processing platforms into one, unlocking nearly $500 million in annual SG&A cost savings and reduced IT spend over three years. She also helped build an innovation center for a large national healthcare payer, enabling the organization to advance its consumer centricity and innovation objectives.

Her blend of expertise in operations, innovation strategy, and technology makes her a trusted advisor to medical, dental, and ancillary payers. An enthusiastic, engaging leader, she likes to work closely with her team, practice, and colleagues to build consensus and collaboratively deliver tangible impact.  

Prior to joining West Monroe in 2021, she spent nearly 16 years with Deloitte Consulting. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, a master’s degree in healthcare policy from the Yale School of Epidemiology and Public Health, and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.

What makes Tanya different

Her willingness to take on new challenges is not limited to her work. She once dove with five large whale sharks – one 40 feet long. 

Having lived on both coasts and several metropolitan areas, she especially appreciates the diversity of culture, food, and experiences of her Southern California home. She finds no shortage of opportunities to fill time with running, biking, scuba diving, and discovering good wine. Her family enjoys relaxing at their beach house near Baja California and traveling to Maui.

A career-long consultant, she truly loves advising on pressing issues and challenges while helping develop and mentor her teams along the way. She is a member of Women Business Leaders of the US Health Care Industry Foundation and Women in Health Administration of Southern California. 

She was named a Consulting Magazine’s 2022 ‘Women Leaders in Consulting’, recognizing women leaders impacting the consulting profession.
