Senior Manager Energy & Utilities San Francisco

LinkedIn

Carolyn is committed to building a sustainable energy future and driving change in the transportation sector – and she has results to show for it. Her utility customer energy efficiency programs have delivered more than 50 GWhs and 15 MWs in annual energy savings for industrial and agricultural companies. She led the customer acquisition strategy for a large utility’s electric vehicle charging incentive program, which signed 150 customers and 2,500 L2 chargers in the first year. And she executed a major cost-saving strategic initiative for a clean energy company that reduced operating expenses by $2 million.

In addition to deep knowledge of the technologies and processes involved in transportation electrification and renewable energy, she has also honed the skills for delivering successful programs: the ability to execute change under aggressive time frames, engage cross-functional teams, create structure from ambiguity, and connect the dots across broad communities of stakeholders.

Before joining West Monroe in 2021, she was a program manager with Sunrun and spent nearly nine years with Pacific Gas and Electric Company, including managing electric vehicle programs. She holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA degree from the University of California, Davis.

What makes Carolyn different

She is devoted to raising her children to be successful, empathetic individuals. Her interests away from work include traveling and experiencing other cultures, reading, learning about economics, and cooking the latest recipes from Bon Appetit – often with a kid-friendly twist. She was on her high school golf team and briefly participated in the amateur circuit.

Where Carolyn makes an impact

A mentor through the UC Davis Energy and Efficiency Institute, Carolyn advises the next generation of clean energy leaders. In addition, she has served on her Graduate Alumni board and the board of a faith-based organization providing her program and business management expertise; and volunteers with local food banks and animal adoption organizations.
