The 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act establishes $7.5 billion for electric vehicle charging, with specific allocations earmarked for fast charging along transit corridors. These charging stations will help reduce range anxiety and increase EV adoption across the country.

However, developing DCFC networks along highways and major transportation corridors can present a number of unique infrastructure challenges and requires a cross-agency approach. State agencies want to ensure they are providing the right service to their constituents, OEMs want to install chargers that meet business objectives, and utilities are concerned with capacity and distribution constraints. Our webinar will discuss alignment of these objectives to help scale DC fast charging networks in the region.

Key topics:

  • How agencies and stakeholders will work together to make an infrastructure road map
  • How various groups will take advantage of IIJA funding and make useful investments
  • How site hosts, state agencies, utilities, and OEMs streamline deployment of multiple charging stations in a region
  • How utilities and site hosts will manage utilization of charging stations once installed
  • What ingredient(s) are missing to accelerate conversions to EV at scale nationally

  • Carine Dumit, Director, Market Development & Public Policy, EVgo
  • Fabio Mantovani, Vice President, Ventures, New York Power Authority
  • Adam Ruder, Assistant Director, Clean Transportation, NYSERDA
