Sean Curran Joins West Monroe as Director in Technology Infrastructure Practice

West Monroe Partners, a full-service North American business and technology consultancy, today announced that Sean Curran has joined the firm as director in the Technology Infrastructure & Operations practice. He has more than 20 years of large-scale infrastructure experience across a range of industries and IT domains, including extensive credentials in the areas of data and information security.

Sean provides consulting and solution delivery services for clients in the areas of security and privacy, infrastructure and operations, network security and architecture, program and project management, IT governance, and security frameworks such as payment card industry data security standards (PCI DSS), NIST, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.

Sean joins West Monroe from Protiviti, for which he led the Central Region Information Technology Security & Privacy Consulting practice and worked with many of the firm’s top-tier clients. He also led Protiviti’s Australian Information Technology Consulting and Asia Pacific PCI DSS Consulting practices for six years prior to moving to the United States in 2011.

Previously, Sean held multiple roles with the nab (National Australia Bank), including senior infrastructure architect and senior communications analyst. His responsibilities included leading development of security standards and architectures for the organization’s LAN/WAN environment and developing strategies and architecture for the cost effective management of the institution’s internal client and external customer-facing end user technologies such as ATMs, EFTPOS terminals, teller terminals, and user workstations.

Earlier roles included technology and consulting responsibilities for Lucent Technologies, Tenix Defence Systems, Tenix Alliance, and his own company, TASC Consulting, for which he managed delivery of technology security, infrastructure, and operations management solutions.

Sean is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) for the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.
