It takes more than just technical acumen to create value in the fast-paced, high-stakes world of product engineering and development. Mike’s colleagues also credit his calm nature under pressure, his problem-solving aptitude, and his belief in the power of his team. That’s how he led the development of an electronic smart locker system that sold for more than $100 million.

A technologist at heart, Mike’s full stack development background gives him the perspective to engage and relate to engineers of all experience levels. What he most enjoys about his work is the opportunity to collaborate with people to design, implement, and manage technical solutions.

His particular interest in blockchain has motivated him to participate in a center of excellence at West Monroe. He previously led a course on building a blockchain app with a group of fellow engineers after work.

Mike spent seven years in product engineering and client delivery roles with Verys before its acquisition by West Monroe in 2021. Previously, as a solopreneur, he guided several content and marketing websites from concept to finished product, generating more than 1.2 million page views per month. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of California, Irvine.

What makes Mike different

Although his work involves leading mission-critical product engineering projects today, Mike still enjoys coding. When he’s not solving technology problems, he enjoys spending time with family, surfing, traveling, and playing fantasy basketball. He has visited more than 70 countries.

Where Mike makes an impact

Mike believes he can make the biggest impact by helping others unlock their potential in and out of the office.
