Today’s enterprises depend on their IT organizations to deliver significant transformation. Those IT organizations, in turn, depend on Mark to execute large-scale initiatives so they run at their best. He helped a professional services firm transform its automation tool to a new platform, removing unnecessary inputs and creating a more intuitive interface. This reduced workload for the client’s IT team by approximately 30%, creating approximately $30 million in annual productivity gains.

His unique technology background includes substantial time in both infrastructure/operational roles and custom development roles. He has been in the trenches on both sides of the legacy IT world – important perspective that he brings to the modern evolution of how digital is changing IT organizations.

Prior to joining West Monroe, he spent nearly a decade with SPR, where he was vice president for Microsoft and cloud solutions. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

What makes Mark different

He was passionate about technology even before he remembers it. According to his older brother, he was caught hacking away at his Apple II or Commodore at age four, trying to figure out how to make the games work. He brings that same enthusiasm to the solutions he creates for clients.

He loves scuba diving – especially in new locations. He received an open water diver certification and hopes to make it to the Red Sea or to Japan to dive among World War II wreckage.

Where Mark makes an impact

He is a youth mentor with his church. He has also volunteered time to stand up IT operations at the Connections for Abused Women and their Children in Chicago. He previously mentored young adults in the Year Up Chicago program to help them prepare for careers in technology.
