Doug MacWilliams

Doug works alongside his clients to develop impactful data strategies and management solutions, along with data-based insights focused on answering the most valuable business questions. He has a proven track record of helping his clients reduce operational costs and make better decisions for their businesses. With a strong interest in organizing and analyzing data, Doug enjoys developing robust solutions and creating visualizations to help solve technical challenges.

A down-to-earth creative problem solver who values organization and planning, Doug is a Certified Databricks Champion and currently leads the Data Engineering and Analytics Boot Camp.

Doug began his career in custom wood and furniture manufacturing where his management position seasoned him to all aspects of running a business. Prior to joining West Monroe in 2015, Doug was a technical architect for a Chicago-based consultancy. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado and a master’s degree from DePaul University.

 

What makes Doug different

Doug is married and a father of two young sons, and the family lives in the northern Chicago suburbs. Having spent a semester at sea in college, Doug had the opportunity to visit more than 20 countries around the world. He also played baseball in the Junior Olympics and currently watches and plays hockey in his spare time.
