Capturing value in a merger or acquisition requires putting people and talent together in a way that brings the big picture to life – kind of like fitting together puzzle pieces. That’s Dan’s role. An adept problem solver, he creates value for his clients by breaking complex concepts down into understandable stories that lead the way to sound human capital strategies.
He supports all human resources, organizational, people, and cultural aspects of mergers and acquisitions. That includes HR due diligence, M&A governance, HR and functional team stand-up and integration, sales operations optimization, synergy realization, and culture and leadership assessment.
Having spent time working on the ground in Asia and Europe, as well as in the United States, he is well equipped to help companies navigate risks and opportunities associated with global business. He also has experience establishing offshore financial operations and project management support centers in India and Poland to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency in global delivery.
Prior to joining West Monroe, he was a senior M&A consultant with Mercer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and management from Wittenberg University.
He is the co-founder and chief financial officer of Cerebral Brewing, where he puts his business expertise to work with his friends and business partners to produce award-winning beer. He has lived and worked in India, Germany, and Hong Kong, in addition to the United States.
He was one of five colleagues selected for Mercer’s inaugural Global Retention Program, during which he co-authored retention research entitled, “Flight Risk in M&A: The Art and Science of Retaining Talent.”
