CHICAGO— West Monroe Partners, a national business and technology consulting firm, announced today that it has been named one of Chicago Tribune’s Top Workplaces 2018. The report ranked West Monroe 5th among 55 mid-sized companies. West Monroe was one of 150 employers recognized in the annual workplace report, a combined effort between the Chicago Tribune and its partner, Energage, who surveys employees to measure several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection.
“We are proud to be recognized by the Chicago Tribune as one of the top workplaces in the Chicago area,” said Doug Armstrong, West Monroe’s Senior Managing Director and Chicago office lead. “As our firm continues to grow and evolve we remain committed to a fun, inclusive, and people-first culture and developing our people to be the next generation of leaders.”
Since opening its doors in 2002, West Monroe has grown to more than 1,000 employees nationally, with more than 720 employees based in the Chicago area. It serves more than 100 local clients in financial services, private equity, insurance, energy and utilities, healthcare, and life sciences.
Part of the firm’s purpose is developing professionals that strike this uncommon blend into the next generation of leaders. Through mentorship and learning, West Monroe invests significantly in talent to develop the business skills of technologists, and the technology skills of business professionals.
West Monroe is committed to giving back to the communities where we live and work. In Chicago, the firm has provided pro-bono consulting services to several critical organizations in the city, including PAWS Chicago and the Chicago Police Department. Additionally, the firm and its employees support dozens of local charities through board appointments and monetary contributions, including Lakeview Pantry, HFS Chicago Scholars, Spark, Chicago Scholars, Springboard Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity. The firm’s Chicago office is located in The Franklin, at 222 W. Adams St., where it expanded earlier this year to accommodate double-digit growth.
The actual rankings were revealed at an awards ceremony on November 1 at the United Club at Soldier Field, and The Chicago Tribune published the complete list of Top Workplaces in a special edition published on November 2, 2018.
