Accelerating M&A Integration: Clearing a 7-Acquisition Backlog in 6 Weeks
A private equity-backed pest control provider pursuing an aggressive acquisition strategy needed to integrate seven newly acquired companies into PestPac, an industry-specific CRM and field service platform used to manage scheduling, routing, billing, and customer operations. With a looming year-end deadline, a growing migration backlog began putting integration timelines and expected acquisition value at risk.
West Monroe cleared the backlog and implemented a repeatable integration model. In just six weeks, we completed seven migrations — nearly 10x faster than the client’s previous pace of four integrations over eight months. By standardizing operations and the integration approach, we doubled the size of the client’s business records, migrating more than 1 million customer records while reducing risk through remediation of accumulated technical debt.
To enable continued growth without external support, we co-created an M&A playbook that now allows the client to execute two to three acquisitions and integrations per month with their internal team. Together, we shifted integration from a recurring constraint to a sustainable, long-term capability.
