West Monroe’s Brad Ptasienski named Consulting® Magazine 2019 Rising Star of the Profession

CHICAGO – West Monroe Partners, a national business and technology consultancy, today announced that Brad Ptasienski, a director in Chicago, has been named one of the 2019 Rising Stars of the Profession by Consulting® magazine, an annual recognition program that spotlights emerging industry leaders under the age of 35. Ptasienski is recognized for excellence in technology.

“Brad Ptasienski stands out among even the best of technology consultants because of his ability to blend technology and business – something rare in this industry. He has a unique way of understanding a client’s business issues and developing solutions that quickly realize value,” said Greg Layok, managing director and leader of West Monroe’s Technology practice. “He is also a ‘rising star’ outside the realm of client work, with an exceptional commitment to mentoring and development that exemplifies our mission to build the next generation of leaders.”

Ptasienski specializes in delivering complex, strategic data-management and technical solutions. He has led transformational programs that range from data assessment supporting mergers and acquisitions to implementation of leading-edge analytics technology. His current focus is on expanding the firm’s technology presence and innovation in the healthcare sector.

He was the firm’s first technology hire to advance from consultant to director and did so in nine years. He is also a regular recipient of West Monroe’s Sequoia award for mentorship.

“Being a part of the growing West Monroe family has been the challenge of a lifetime that still continues to reward me in unexpected ways,” said Ptasienski. “This award is a testament to the leadership and guidance I have received over the past 12 years. Good habits rub off on employees who are eager to learn, and I’ve been fortunate to have had great examples of what leadership should look like.”

Ptasienski joined West Monroe Partners in 2007 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Enterprise Systems Engineering with a minor in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is president of the ISE Engineering Alumni Board. Additionally, he co-founded and is chief operating officer for a successful not-for-profit organization, TheyINHERIT, which leads clean water initiatives in West Africa.

This is the sixth year that Consulting® magazine has recognized up-and-coming leaders of the profession. The publication will honor all the Rising Stars Award recipients at a gala dinner in Chicago on April 11.
