West Monroe named one of the 2018 Best Workplaces for Millennials by Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE

CHICAGO – Great Place to Work and FORTUNE have honored West Monroe Partners as one of the 2018 Best Workplaces for Millennials. The ranking considered input from more than 434,000 employees from Great Place to Work-Certified™ companies.

Great Place to Work, a research and consulting firm, evaluated more than 50 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included employee pride in the organization’s community impact, belief that their work makes a difference, and feeling their work has special meaning. Rankings are based on employees’ experiences, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization. West Monroe took the No. 18 spot on the list.

"Millennials have become vital to growing and maintaining our people-first culture, helping us to build a supportive, collaborative, and engaging environment that fosters personal and professional growth," said West Monroe Chief People Officer Susan Stelter. "We are committed to providing a great place to work with an inclusive culture that feels welcoming to all of us – regardless of age, gender, background, ethnicity or orientation.”

West Monroe offers several programs as part of its people-first culture, including:

  • The 1+1+1 program, designed to give back 1% of time, 1% of talent and 1% of treasure to the greater good which has benefited non-profits and charities nationally. For the third consecutive year in 2018, West Monroe united across the firm to give back to the people and organizations in their communities, setting aside a day of consulting to participate in a “National Day of Change.”

  • The Fischer Global Service Fellowship Program, which supports employees’ philanthropic and humanitarian interests with an extended three- to six-month compensated leave. These fellowships benefit the health and wellness of the disenfranchised, aid in combating poverty, and seeks to empower people around the world.

  • West Monroe's Chiefs Program, through which employees across the firm have the opportunity to be “chief officer” of anything. The program promotes the ownership culture, empowers people to build leadership skills, and develops management capabilities early on for employees. The program also helps make West Monroe a more energizing and collaborative workplace.

The Best Workplaces for Millennials stand out for their unique, innovative cultures, which helps them attract and retain Millennial employees. West Monroe has created a place where people can build long-term careers and participate in the equity they help build. To ensure employees share in success, every employee participates in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). ESOP is a unique and important part of West Monroe, designed to reward loyalty, professional growth, and company performance.
