Great Place to Work® has honored West Monroe as No. 51 on the 2020 Best Workplaces for Parents list. West Monroe earned this award because it has created consistently positive experiences for working parents. This award is particularly significant considering the additional challenges facing parents this year.

Great Place to Work determined the Best Workplaces for ParentsTM by gathering and analyzing confidential employee experience feedback representing 4.8 million U.S. employees across more than 20 industries – the largest annual study of working parents to date. Great Place to Work’s analysis also focused on how parents’ workplace experiences compare to those of their non-parent colleagues, and reviewed each company’s parental leave, adoption, flexible schedule, childcare, and dependent health care benefits.

"Creating a culture where all employees, including parents, can be successful is critical to our mission of building the next generation of leaders,” said Susan Stelter, West Monroe’s chief people officer.

We are cognizant of the stressors parents have faced this year while trying to balance remote work with online schooling and childcare challenges, and have worked to both elevate existing policies that support working parents while creating creative new solutions to help our people find balance.

This summer, West Monroe introduced a new summer leave policy that allows people to take an extended period of time off during the summer, during which West Monroe continued to cover healthcare costs. West Monroe also introduced a new series of mental health listening sessions on topics such as caregiving and racial justice; conducted trainings on topics such as stress management and mental health first aid, and provided peer support via its Chief Family Events program. The firm has also worked to educate employees about existing programs such as backup care, flexible work arrangements, an employee assistance program, telehealth services through MDLIVE and virtual telehealth and support services for parents via Maven.

West Monroe has received numerous national and regional accolades for its workplace and people practices. Great Place to Work previously recognized West Monroe as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For, Best Workplaces for Women, Best Workplaces for Millennials, Best Workplace for Giving Back, and Best Workplace in Consulting and Professional Services. Our award-winning culture is built on the belief that investing in our people and building the next generation of leaders is key to our success.
