West Monroe is honored to be named one of the 2020 Best Workplaces for Women for the first time by Great Place to Work and Fortune. The ranking considered feedback representing more than 4.7 million employees working at Great Place to Work-Certified organizations. West Monroe took the No. 33 spot out of 75 companies in the large company category.
Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job. Eighty-five percent of the ranking is based on what women themselves report about their workplace, and how fairly those experiences compare to men’s reports of the same workplaces. The ranking also factors in how well represented women are in the workforce and throughout management, taking into account industry trends.
“It’s an honor to be named one of the Best Workplaces for Women for the first time, particularly at a time when strengthening our culture and support for our people is more important than ever,” said Susan Stelter, West Monroe’s chief people officer.
We invest significant time and resources to help create a culture where all employees, representative of diverse backgrounds, are able to create a fulfilling career, and we are grateful to have our efforts recognized by Great Place to Work.”
Over the past several years, West Monroe has made specific investment and updates to its policies and benefits to better support and retain women and others who need more flexibility. These changes include formalizing flexible work arrangement policies to support employees during different phases of their lives when they may need different schedules; moving to a flexible paid time off policy; and investing in back-up care benefits for children and dependents, as well as family planning and support benefits from Maven Maternity.
West Monroe has received numerous national and regional accolades for its workplace and people practices. Great Place to Work and Fortune previously recognized West Monroe as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For, Best Workplaces for Parents, Best Workplaces for Millennials, Best Workplace for Giving Back, and Best Workplace in Consulting and Professional Services.
