Whether he is leading the acquisition of a company that will add capabilities to our firm or building long-term partnerships with cutting-edge technology platforms, Tom Bolger spends his days ensuring West Monroe has the tools, skills, and expertise our clients need—sometimes before they even know they need them.
As West Monroe’s Chief Strategy Officer, Tom is responsible for the firm’s strategy, corporate development, partnerships, and our product and asset development group known as Intellio® Labs. A visionary leader, Tom’s passion for understanding and capitalizing on the future of the consulting industry has contributed to the firm’s sustained 29% compound annual growth rate—compared to the industry average of 8%. By outpacing the market, West Monroe is able to thoughtfully invest in leading capabilities and evolve its services to best create results for its clients.
Tom is a member of the Investment Committee of West Monroe Capital, a co-investment business he helped design and launch in 2018 and has orchestrated nearly a dozen deals for the firm. Prior to his appointment as CSO in 2019, Tom was a senior managing director responsible for strategic growth. Tom joined the firm and founded West Monroe’s Seattle office in 2005.
Before joining West Monroe in 2005, Tom held leadership positions with Washington Mutual, Saltmine Creative, and Arthur Andersen. Tom graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame.
Tom enjoys taking full advantage of all the outdoor recreation the Pacific Northwest has to offers and has climbed all five of the major volcanoes in Washington state. Tom and his wife are raising two high-school and college aged children in Seattle with assistance from their golden retriever, Nellie.
An active member of the Pacific Northwest community, Tom serves on the board of the Sound Mental Health and has led numerous pro-bono efforts for Seattle-area and national non-profits.
