Shawna’s well-honed project and change management skills accelerate her clients’ transformational goals. For example, she helped a national financial institution launch a new loan operating system successfully, with minimal impacts to the business. When surveyed, 80% of users felt very prepared to use the new system, and 98% felt the new systems would improve their work. 

Her passion for helping people adapt to major transformations has led her to build deep expertise in communications, training, and the impact of change. She is particularly adept at fostering an inclusive work culture that activates the workforce’s performance and prepares people to adopt new ways of working.  

She taps her broad experience to recommend proven approaches. That experience recently came in handy when she created a customized change management toolkit and playbook with more than 18 tools, each with detailed examples. This enabled 20 project managers to incorporate change management into their new and existing projects. 

She joined West Monroe in 2013 after several years in project roles with Denali Advanced Integration. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication and computer science from Western Washington University and holds Association of Change Management Professionals and Project Management Professional certifications. 

What makes Shawna different

A Pacific Northwest girl at heart, she is happiest when nestled between water and mountains – and preferably on horseback. When she’s not outdoors, her favorite thing to do is make meals from whatever she can find in the kitchen. She loves having many friends and family around her table playing games or sharing stories while enjoying something she created.  

Where Shawna makes an impact

Shawna is slated to serve on the Board of Directors for the Boyer’s Children’s Clinic, an organization she’s been involved with since 2014.
