Rodney is passionate about transforming businesses, developing people, and lending his experience and voice to emerging topics. As Microsoft’s corporate vice president of the Internet of Things and Mixed Reality Sales, he has the chance to do all three.
He leads a talented team that accelerates growth and innovation by building intelligent solutions from edge to cloud, with thousands of customers and partners. This experience enables him to bring unique and relevant insights as an advisor to Monroe’s Board of Directors, and former board member in 2020 and 2021.
During his more than 20 years with Microsoft, he has held a number of executive positions, including general manager of the Samsung Alliance, general manager of strategy and sales for the worldwide small and medium business team, and general manager of Microsoft Across America, a technical sales and marketing evangelism organization. Previously, he spent nine years with IBM in sales, marketing, and management capacities.
Rodney is an avid hockey fan who played the sport professionally during college and early in his career.
Rodney enjoys talking with technical and non-technical audiences alike on topics spanning digital transformation, organizational growth and leadership, partnerships, and diversity. He considers developing and connecting leaders in a competitive and technical talent landscape to be one of the most rewarding parts of his work.
Away from work, he strives to make a difference in the community. He serves on the Board of Trustees for Middlesex School in Concord, Massachusetts. He is also an advisor of the Board of Directors for Seattle Children’s Museum and the Craig School of Business at California State University – Fresno.
