Josh is passionate about building high quality, human-centered digital products and experiences that bring value to daily life. It’s not surprising, then, that he has gravitated toward working with the healthcare sector. For example, he recently helped a large healthcare organization plan it's wholistic digital strategy for the Women's Health market, including offerings in maternity, fertility, NICU, and beyond.

His formula for success includes cross-functional collaboration, iterative product development, empathy at the heart of product development, and the use of data to build better experiences. He leverages these capabilities to drive business growth, brand expansion, efficiency, and better customer service.

He has been developing websites since the World Wide Web first came into existence. His experience ranges up and down the technology stack, from SQL to JavaScript and most technologies in between. He likes to stay current on technology and has strong exposure to trends in the web and mobile development worlds. He uses that knowledge to help clients understand the rapidly changing technology landscape and plan for present and future growth.

He joined West Monroe as part of its 2019 acquisition of GoKart Labs, where he helped transform a digital agency into a digital product studio with dedicated product teams. Previously, he was a principal software architect with Haworth Marketing + Media. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Cornell College.

What makes Josh different

Josh puts his creativity to work as a playwright, and has written 12 original scripts for the stage and directed or designed 35 others. His other interests include cooking/grilling/smoking, getting outdoors, and bicycling. He and his wife built their own cabin in Castle Danger, Minnesota.

Where Josh makes an impact

He runs and is co-artistic director for a 501(c)3 theater company called nimbus theater, which specializes in playwright-led collaborative creation of new works. He has organized extensive fundraising efforts – including crowd funding, individual donor development, and grants – to support development of the troupe and its venues.
