Business isn’t static, and neither are the solutions we deliver. We’re continuously looking for acquisition targets with unique capabilities that complement our core services and address clients’ evolving needs and challenges. As Director of Corporate Development, that’s Jonathan’s responsibility.
He leads multidisciplinary teams to find and evaluate acquisition targets that provide a good fit with our strategy and culture. Since he joined West Monroe in early 2020, we have completed major acquisitions – including our largest to date – that have added key capabilities in IT strategy, business process outsourcing, strategic sourcing, and data science.
Strategic and analytical with extensive experience in people-focused industries, Jonathan brings an outside perspective to our operations and likes to challenge teams to think differently about how we can deliver for our clients.
He has worked on acquisitions on six continents. Altogether, his experience includes more than 200 transactions involving public, private, family-owned, and private equity-backed businesses ranging in size from $1 million to $400 million.
Prior to joining West Monroe, he spent more than 12 years in Corporate Development roles with Aon, supporting inorganic growth strategies and advising leaders through all phases of the transaction process – from developing a business case to completing post-merger integration. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA in corporate finance from the University of Wisconsin School of Business.
A varsity soccer player in college, he still enjoys the sport, as well as any kind of fitness, basketball, golf, and activities with his three boys. He has a home wood shop and is continually looking for things around the house to build or re-build. He is passionate about learning something new, with his current focus being the piano.
He is a Big with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago, as well as a youth soccer coach who enjoys teaching the game to groups of energetic and hilarious young participants. He was named a 2022 Corporate Development Professional to Watch by Middle Market Growth.
