The digital era of banking demands data-enabled operations, grounded in technology and new ways of working. That’s where John comes in. He has helped institutions of all sizes drive measurable performance improvement. For example, he transformed a global bank’s US-based retail branch sales and service model to be more efficient, scalable, and productive – paving the way for a multi-million-dollar revenue increase, as well greater agility in a changing marketplace.
He is an accomplished Six Sigma-certified project manager, thought leader, and strategic thinker who builds relationships at all levels and works effectively with cross-functional teams. His experience spans commercial banking and lending, retail banking, payments, mortgage banking, and wealth management.
Prior to joining West Monroe, he was part of Amgen’s Results Delivery Office, providing internal consulting services for large-scale, company-wide transformation initiatives. Previously, he spent 20 years in executive and consulting roles in financial services. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and participated in executive programs at The Wharton School and the University of California, Berkeley.
His career has afforded him the unique opportunity to live and work in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City. He enjoys spending any spare time with his wife and son – both of whom support his love of watching USC football and the New York Yankees. Other hobbies include surfing, early-morning workouts, and hiking. He considers his first job – five summers as a beach lifeguard on Long Island Sound – as one of the most gratifying roles of his life, allowing him to develop valuable skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving that he still uses today.
He and his wife are active in their son’s school. John is the treasurer for the parent-faculty association’s board, which raises funds for educational programs through contributions and special events.
