Haydee uses her extensive experience to automate forensic investigations and scale existing resources and processes – enabling faster, more efficient, and accurate investigations.
Collected under pressure, she has a keen ability to rapidly assess situations and see the big picture through the complexity in all types of cyber investigations. Her experience spans cyber investigations involving intellectual property theft, insider threat, and data breaches, including ransomware and business email compromise. She has also provided expert testimony on digital forensic matters.
She joined West Monroe in 2021 from Arete IR, where she was an Associate Director of Digital Forensics. Previously, she spent 15 years performing digital forensic examinations and electronic discovery, as both a consultant and an analyst with a Fortune 500 financial services organization. At one point, she conducted or supervised more than 150 cyber investigation cases in less than two years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Computer Information Systems from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
Cybersecurity forensics can require an adventurous spirit, and that is reflected in Haydee’s hobbies as well, which includes running, CrossFit, backpacking, cycling, traveling, and exploring. She once satisfied several of those on a five-day Salkantay Trail trek in the Peruvian Andes, from Cusco to Machu Picchu.
Her passion and aptitude for mentoring and developing teams of digital forensic analysts results in strong and accurate results during security incidents. She shares her experience as a guest lecturer at academic institutions on the topic of expert witnesses. Additionally, she is a volunteer Spanish interpreter, supporting pro bono attorneys and clients at immigration clinics.
