Guy Cartwright leads West Monroe’s Corporate Transformation practice. Guy has a long track record of leadership and achievement as a senior executive, advisor, private equity operating partner, and board member. He has successfully led complicated operational improvements and turnarounds across a diverse range of industries.
Most recently, Guy was Chief Transformation Officer (and interim CFO) at Juul Labs Inc. There, he led a complicated, successful global strategic and operational reset that included over $1 billion in cost reductions, process reconstruction, and a revamp of the capital structure to set the company on a new, improved path. From 2010 to 2019, Guy was the lead U.S. Operating Partner at TowerBrook Capital Partners, a transatlantic $12 billion private equity investment firm, where his work ranged from leading all aspects of due diligence to driving strategic/value creation projects at portfolio companies in healthcare, business services, industrial, technology, retail, consumer, and sports/media.
Prior to TowerBrook, Guy was Vice President of Operations at Asurion Corporation, which grew from $500 million to $3.5 billion in revenue during his tenure, where he revamped the customer experience approach and also led the integration of the transformational acquisition of NEW. Guy spent his early career as a consultant, advisor and entrepreneur at Bain & Company, ERG and Truefitt & Hill, where he was founder & CEO.
Guy earned a bachelor’s degree from William & Mary and an MBA from Harvard University.
Guy is deeply involved and driven to grow the sport of soccer in the United States. A former captain of a Top-20-ranked Division I collegiate soccer team, he has advised on club acquisitions, academies and strategy, and is Member of the U.S. Soccer Foundation NYC Leadership Council.
Guy actively advises early-stage companies in the sports, entertainment, digital content, e-learning & consumer sectors. Guy is married and has three teenage sons.
