Creating and quantifying business value is at the core of our clients’ journeys to become digital. That’s why West Monroe tapped Eric to build and lead global value creation capabilities.
Early in his career, Eric helped a client differentiate a commodity product and increase profitability by 40% while elevating customer satisfaction scores from the bottom quartile to No. 2 in 18 months. The approach and results were highlighted in the Harvard Business Review—launching his life’s work of innovating and managing customer value. He has since unlocked more than $1 billion in shareholder value.
To fulfill this passion, Eric founded a customer value strategy consultancy, Axios Partners, which has served industry leaders across the Americas, Asia, Australia, and Europe. He created the Axios Value Innovation Management® process to identify new sources of value. He also co-founded a business-to-business value management software firm with a web-based application that helps clients quantify and demonstrate the value they deliver to customers.
Eric earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Kenyon College and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
His diverse geographic and cultural perspectives come from leading project teams on five different continents. He is an avid stand-up paddle surfer who enjoys all things Hawaii. He is also a Special Olympics parent, fan, supporter, and soccer coach.
He founded the Chicago chapter of Thrive: Servant Leadership in Action. He is also on the board of Scot Forge, a 100% employee-owned, mid-sized manufacturer.
A former member of the marketing faculty at Northwestern’s Kellogg School, he still enjoys sharing his experience as a limited partner, lecturer, and mentor at mHub, a start-up incubator for physical products with the goal of making Chicago a global innovation center for “hard tech” manufacturing.
