As West Monroe’s chief operating officer, Doug’s mission is to promote collaboration and operating consistency across all West Monroe offices to power the firm’s double-digit year-over-year growth. He’s also focused on connecting West Monroe with the broader community: he works with our account teams to help them build lasting, trusted relationships with clients and plays an important role in stewarding the culture at West Monroe, overseeing our corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Doug joined West Monroe in 2004 to lead its Customer Experience practice and since then has assumed increasingly broader leadership positions as the firm grows. He oversaw the Chicago office, during which it more than doubled in size and earned recognition as one of the city’s top workplaces. He also played an integral role in creating the firm’s global alliance with BearingPoint Europe.

Prior to joining West Monroe, Doug was a partner in Arthur Andersen's Business Consulting practice. He has a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University and an MBA from the University of Illinois. Doug has written two business books and is a sought-after speaker, sharing business insights at industry conferences and seminars.

What makes Doug different

Doug is committed to our mission to build the next generation of leaders and, even as a busy COO, finds time to mentor dozens of professionals each year. He also believes in keeping work fun as an active member of our Chief Hot Sauce and Chief Friends committee programs. Doug is a devoted husband and father, patient White Sox fan, and multi-faceted outdoor enthusiast. He loves hiking, fishing, and exploring our beautiful national parks.

Where Doug makes an impact

Doug has served as an adjunct professor at Northwestern University and at DePaul University's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. He is a member of the executive board of Springboard Foundation, which connects emerging afterschool programs with business leaders to help ensure they grow into sustainable programs. Doug will assume the role of Board President for the foundation in 2021. Doug also volunteers with Girls on the Run, a non-profit that promotes girl empowerment by teaching life skills through running.
