Alberto’s priority as West Monroe’s CIO is to make our client services teams as effective and efficient as possible through technology. He accomplishes this by fostering collaboration between his team and our consultants in the field along with the Shared Services teams that support them.
In his role, Alberto oversees all facets of IT operations, including governance and strategy, security and infrastructure, knowledge management, and more. His 50+ team members are motivated to enable West Monroe’s people to work and collaborate anytime, anywhere.
Alberto is an accomplished IT leader who has worked with organizations from startups to global enterprises as a consultant and a CIO. This range of experience gives him the unique ability to balance West Monroe’s appetite for growth with building a solid operational foundation that provides long-term stability.
Alberto joined West Monroe in 2019 from Gartner, where as a senior executive partner he advised CIOs and their teams across the U.S. North region. He is a frequent speaker and published author. Alberto has a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Yale University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
What makes Alberto different
Alberto is focused on continuously improving his function – ultimately, he wants West Monroe to be recognized as an IT leader in professional services. A native of Italy who has lived in Northbrook, Illinois, for more than 40 years, Alberto loves to watch and play soccer. He and his wife have been married for more than 30 years, and the couple raised three children who have gone on to successful and diverse careers of their own. The couple now focuses their parenting skills on a Newfoundland dog named George.
Where Alberto makes an impact
Alberto sits on the board of the Chicago chapter of Compass, a group that helps non-profit organizations in the Chicagoland area excel at their missions through strategic projects staffed by volunteer teams.
