The Suppression Division of the West Monroe Fire Department consist of 33 members on three shifts led by an Assistant Chief. They respond to all incidents in the city involving fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue and hazardous materials. All members are trained in vehicle extrication and are certified at a haz-mat operations level.
The departments fire apparatus consist of two 1250 gpm E-One pumpers, one 1250 gpm Pierce Contender and a 1500 gpm Sutphen aerial ladder truck.
