Chef Pat Nolan and the catering staff provide a wide array of catering services for meetings and banquets of all sizes. From heavy hors'doeurves to the perfect prime rib, the possibilities for your catered event are endless.
General Catering Policies & Guidelines
It is our goal to make your event special. In order to serve you better we have provided some basic guidelines to assist you in planning your event.
Menu Selection and guaranteed guest count must be submitted to the sales office one week prior to your event. We will make every effort to accommodate any adjustments in the number of guests made after the deadline. However, menu selections can not be guaranteed. Adjustments made after the weekâs deadline may be subject to an additional charge of 1.5 times the quoted rate.
All menu selections are subject to 9.5% sales tax. There is a 14 % service charge on all events. Gratuity is optional and left to the discretion of the event.
Absolutely no goods or catered items may be taken from the Convention Center, regardless of the guaranteed count. This policy is strictly enforced and no exceptions can be made.
No food or beverages may be brought into the facility with the exception of alcohol when the client has contracted for bar and setups.
Linens are provided at no charge for catering services over $300.00. There will be a charge for linen service on all other setups.
Finally, please feel free to call on our sales staff for ideas and help in planning your special event. We will be happy to create a special menu to suit the needs of your event.
SPIRITS
The West Monroe Convention Center provides bartenders and setups only. Setups must be purchased from the Convention Center. Clients may provide their own alcohol.
Full Bar Events
Clients may bring alcohol in prior to an event to be chilled and served. However, alcohol may not be sold at an event. A minimum 3 hour full bar fee of $5.00 per person will charged which includes: Bartender(s), sodas, juices and various mixers. The number of setups must be exactly the same as number of expected guests. (Additional bar hours are $1.00 per hour/per person.)
Wine and Beer
Clients may bring alcohol in prior to an event to be chilled and served. However, alcohol may not be sold at an event. A fee of $25.00 per hour/per 100 people will be assessed for all events serving wine and beer only. We will provide Bartender(s), all glasses, ice, etc.
Security
The Convention Center will arrange for the required security. One security officer is required to be in attendance for every 100 guests attending an event where alcohol is served. Officers must be present one-half hour prior to the bar opening and one-half hour after the bar closes. Officer(s) shall be paid a minimum of three hours each. Fee is $25.00 per officer/per hour.
